Voices from Shandon, a What If....project, is a city wide community arts project.
Part installation, part performance, this project is set to be one of the largest community based participative arts projects undertaken in the City of Cork.
The project will involve up to 1,500 participants creating a temporary public art installation of flags on St Anne’s Church.
In June 2013 the flags will be raised to the sound of 300 children's voices performing an original choral composition.
Voices from Shandon coincides with Ireland’s hosting of the European Presidency in 2013 and as such is celebratory of our diverse communities city wide, national and European.
Developed as part of Cork Community Art Link’s What If… programme, Voices from Shandon forms the latest project in CCAL’s participatory public arts program.
